About the Artist

Frank de Lange is a composer and concert pianist whose music blends neoclassical, neoromantic, and impressionist influences. His work is deeply introspective and shaped by synesthetic perception: sound translates into color, form, and space. Since 2019, Frank has focused primarily on composing original music, including works such as Tristesse, while continuing to perform as a concert pianist. He grew up in a musical family where music was simply part of daily life. He began on the violin, which laid a strong foundation in musical structure and listening, but the piano felt like home. His artistic philosophy centers on imagination, reduction, and the balance between emotion, technique, and musical understanding. He encourages composers to find their voice by building from the inside out.
